Introduction
In your club reception, you may have various payment terminals. Some may be integrated with POSweb and certain payment provider, but others may not. This article will explain the difference between integrated and non-integrated payment terminals. You will get to know how processing payments on both kinds of devices works.
Feature description
The main difference is that integrated terminals are connected with POSweb and a certain payment provider, and thanks to this the payment process is automated and simplified.
Here is how payment processing in case of an integrated terminal looks like:
- You have to create a new sale and/or scan the product.
- Then, you select the payment method your client would like to use (cash, debit, credit, gift card, etc.).
- Now, POSweb will automatically sync this information to your terminal, which will automatically communicate this back to your POSweb and complete the sale. The receipt might be printed on fiscal (receipt) printer, or the terminal (depends on the device).
Non-integrated terminals are not connected with POSweb, and therefore the payment process has to be done manually, with more steps to complete.
Here is how payment processing in case of non-integrated terminal looks like:
- You create a new sale and/or scan the product.
- Then, you select the payment method your client would like to use (cash, debit, credit, gift card, etc.).
- Now, you take the terminal and manually input the amount.
- Once payment is complete, you retrieve the terminal and printed receipt. Typically, the receipt will be printed on the terminal.
- You have to manually mark the purchase as paid and conclude the sale in POSweb.
