Migration types
We distinguish sever types of migrations. Bellow, you will find the summary of the most important differences. Please, be aware, that the type and scope of migration should be agreed with our sales executive before the start of the implementation process.
Self-migration from file - In Perfect Gym Manager there is a tool to migrate data from a file. The customer has the opportunity to do it himself. This type of migration is available, for free, to every customer.
Known software migration – Perfect Gym has a lot of experience in data migration from other fitness & gym management software. This type of migration is faster and more predictable than a custom migration.
We distinguish two scopes of such migration:
- Basic known software migration covers: users, contracts, product states, direct debit details and credit card details.
- Extended known software migration scope is always agreed individually, however it is limited by possible data to extract from the client's old software and general limitations of the migration scope.
Custom migration – This type of migration happens if the client provides reports (i.e. excel files) from their current soft or if we migrate from software which is totally new for us. The scope of such migration should be always agreed in advance. Scope is always agreed individually, however it is limited by possible data to extract from the client's old software and general limitations of our migration scope. We distinguish two sub-types of such migration:
- Custom migration from files – Client provides data as excel files reports
- Custom migration from unknown software – Client provides a direct access to his SQL database.
