Introduction
This article is to show you how to read and verify the data displayed in Net Gain and Ended Contracts widgets.
Widgets are not meant to be treated as a base for detailed data analysis or revenue forecasts. It is only as an overview of how the things are going and point of reference to more detailed analysis. The logic behind widgets is less complex in comparison to reports and widgets. This is why there might occur some slight discrepancies.
- It will be useful for those club employees who are responsible for reporting, data management, members retention, upsell related activities and others. Including System Administrators, Club Managers, Sales Team, Club Owners, Financial Department.
Instruction
First of all, let's have a look at Net Gain widget.
This widget can be enabled in two versions basically. It may include free contract or not.
1. Go to PGM -> Home -> Dashboard.
2. Click on Edit dashboard and Add element from library.
3. Then search and select Net Gain.
4. At the screen below click Add element.
5. The final step is to click on Save at the right side of the screen.
Below is presented the example when it`s not include free payment plan.
According to the displayed information, there were 758 contracts ended in July and 1041 signed. This version of the widget does not include free payment plans.
In order to verify this data you need to do the following:
1. Go to PGM -> Reports -> All.
2. Then search All Contracts report and filter out as it is in the following example:
3. Then click on XLS button to generate the report.
4. Open downloaded excel report.
5. Now, go to column Q and filter out 0 membership fee contracts as it is presented on the screen below.
As you can see at the bottom right corner, the count is exactly the same as in the widget.
Now, let's verify if the number of new contracts in the report also matches the figure in the widget. The same report can be used for this purpose, but with slightly amended configuration.
1. Go to PMG -> Reports -> All.
2. Search All Contracts report and filter out as it is in the following example:
3. At the end click on XLS button to generate the report.
4. Now, go to column Q and filter out 0 membership fee contracts as it is presented on the screen below.
As you can see, the count shows the same number as the one shown on the widget. In this case it is 1041.
Let's have a look now if we can get the same result when we want to include zero fee membership.
Figures here are obviously higher. Now, let's have a look at the same report we used already but without filtering out 0 fees.
As you can see, the number matches the one from the widget again.
Last but not least, new contracts including zero fee ones.
Let's have a look now at Future Contract Endings widget. There can be chosen option with or without free memberships.
1. Go to PGM -> Home -> Dashboard.
2. Click on Edit dashboard.
3. Click on Add element from library.
4. Search and select Future Contract Endings widget.
Firstly, let's verify the data without zero fee contracts. Upgrades, transfers and cessions will be included
Let's take predicted number of contract endings for December 2022.
The number says 776 contracts will end in December, excluding zero fee ones.
All Contracts report and Ended Contracts can be used to verify this number.
This is how to set the filters on All Contracts report:
After filtering out free memberships the number is 777.
Ended contracts gives an option to hide free contracts:
The figure in this report is 777 as well, which makes difference of only 1.
Let's now have a look on Future Contract Endings with inclusion of free contracts.
Now, let's compare it with reports.

Now we can clearly see that the difference of 1 appears in every single scenario in relation to Future Contract Endings.
