Voucher has been used
This automation rule triggers an action, such as sending a notification or awarding loyalty points, at the moment a member redeems a voucher. It's an excellent tool for confirming the use of a promotion and engaging with members who participate in your marketing campaigns.
- Confirm Voucher Redemptions: Instantly send a confirmation to members, letting them know their voucher was successfully applied.
- Automate Campaign Rewards: Automatically award loyalty points as a bonus when a member uses a specific promotional voucher.
- Engage with Members: Send a thank-you message after a voucher is used to make members feel valued and encourage future participation in offers.
- Create Targeted Follow-ups: Trigger specific actions based on the exact voucher that was used, allowing for highly relevant marketing follow-ups.
Before You Start
- Navigate to PGM -> Automation -> Automation Rules.
- Press 'Add automation rule' to create a new rule.
- In the pop-up window:
- Create a unique name for the Automation Centre Rule (e.g., "Confirm 'Free Shake' Voucher Use").
- Choose an Action. For this rule, the most common actions are 'Notification' (to send a message) or 'Add loyalty points' (to reward the member).
- Select 'Voucher has been used' from the rule list.
- A new configuration window will open. Add conditions to make the rule specific. For example, add a condition where
[VOUCHER_NAME]is equal to "Summer Guest Pass" to trigger a special welcome message for the guest. - Configure the rest of the notification or loyalty point action as needed.
Tokens
Use these tokens to personalize your notification with the member's details and information about the voucher they redeemed.
- [USER_FIRST_NAME]: The member's first name (e.g., "John").
- [USER_LAST_NAME]: The member's last name (e.g., "Smith").
- [USER_NAME]: The member's full name (e.g., "John Smith").
- [USER_NUMBER]: The member's unique ID number.
- [USER_HOME_CLUB_NAME]: The name of the member's primary gym location.
- [USER_AGE]: The member's current age in years.
- [VOUCHER_NAME]: The name of the voucher that was used (e.g., "Free Guest Pass").
- [VOUCHER_CODE]: The unique code of the specific voucher that was redeemed.
- [VOUCHER_ACTIVATION_DATE]: The date the voucher was used.
- [VOUCHER_ACTIVATION_CLUB_NAME]: The name of the club where the voucher was redeemed.

Here is an example of a confirmation email that could be sent to a member after they use a voucher.
