Introduction
In this article, you will learn how to upgrade your club member's Contract. An upgrade means a change of a member's Contract from a lower plan to the higher. I.e. if a member has a 3-month Contract, they can upgrade it only to the higher option, which means 6-month or 12-month Contract. Contract Upgrade assumes that it is not possible for the member to go from a 3-month Contract into 1-month. Contract upgrade can be done via PGM and Client Portal.
- This article will show you how to upgrade a Contract on Member Profile in PGM.
- This article will be helpful to PG Champion, Sales Manager, Club Manager and Club Owner. It can be also of importance for Front Desk Staff.

The interactive video below shows the upgrade of 1-year upfront contract into 1-year monthly contract. The already paid amount for the upfront contract has been divided into monthly payments, therefore there is nothing to be paid extra by the club member. However, if you would like to check how the contract recalculation looks like in case of 6-month contract upgraded to 12-month one, go to the Use Example below.
Contract recalculation - Use Example
If a member will upgrade from 6-month to 12-month contract, the system will recalculate the amount that they need to pay extra. The payment can be made in parts instead of fully.
In the example below, a member had 6-month membership which started on 18th July and was paid upfront 2,932,50 SAR. Then they decided for an upgrade to 12-month contract with the start date of 20th of July and at cost of 4,818,50 SAR. After the upgrade, the system recalculated the new contract at the cost of 1,918,00 SAR.
Hints
The system allows you to set a limit that determines how many days from the start of the current Contract, it can be upgraded by a member. To use this option, go to the PGM -> System Settings. From the General Settings menu on the left, select Upgrade. In the Number of days an upgrade is available after contract start date, enter the number of days.
