Introduction
This article will show you how to configure Vouchers that will be used by club members during Product purchase in the Client Portal. The scenario is that a club member, who already has an account in the Client Portal 2, would like to buy Products in the CP2 -> Account -> My Products -> Buy Products tab.
Mind, this is NOT the Voucher purchase during in the registration / contract upgrade process.
In the Use Case part, this article shows as well how to use a Voucher when purchasing the Product.
- This article will show you steps to be made when configuring a Voucher that will be used during Product purchase in the Client Portal 2. The use case of such process has also been provided.
- This article will be helpful to PG Champion, Administrator, Sales Manager, Club Manager and Club Owner.
Before you start
Basic knowledge of Products and Vouchers is required. This type of configuration has to be done by an advanced system user!
The following Client Portal 2 features must be enabled:
- ClientPortal.Feature.UseVoucher - for CP2
- ClientPortal.Feature.UseVoucher.Kiosk - for CP2 in Kiosk mode
- ClientPortal.Feature.UseVoucher.Tablet - for CP2 in Tablet mode
- ClientPortal.Feature.ProductSale
Basic Instruction
How to configure Voucher for Product purchase in CP2?
The Product configuration has be done in a certain way to enable the Voucher use. Make sure the Products enabled for purchase with the Voucher are configured in the way described below. Use existing Products, or create a new one, according to the below set up.
1. Go to the PGM -> Sale-> Products and configure the Product with use of these requirements:
- The product must be available in the club.
- The product must be available for ClientPortal, or in case of Kiosk mode - Kiosk, or in case of a Tablet mode - ReceptionTablet.
- The product must have the Store state for the user checkbox ticked.
- The user should be in the Product available only group.
2. Configure the Product discount in the PGM -> Sale-> Product discounts.
- Add the Discount type of Percent discount or Amount discount
- Add Activated by voucher option
- Specify the list of discounted products.
3. Configure the Voucher Type in the PGM -> Marketing -> Voucher Types.
- Remember, it needs to have an existing member restriction.
4. Configure the Product Catalog if needed.
- Remember that the old Product screen is always available. PGM -> Sale-> Product Catalog.
5. Generate the Voucher codes in the PGM -> Sale-> Voucher codes.
