Introduction
If your club offers i.e. food, drinks, supplements, sauna, personal trainings or swimming lessons, you can configure such Products and Services within the PGM system.
- This introductory article briefly describes key features of the Product in the PGM system.
- This article will be helpful to all club employees.
Feature Description
Goods / Service configuration options
All of your Products can be assigned to main categories such as Drinks, Food, Apparel, Personal Training, etc. These categories will be added to the panels on POSweb. Behind each category, you can find the individual products which you have created.
When adding a new Product to the PGM system, you can decide on selecting from many different options. Services such as Personal Training or Swimming Classes, can be stored on your member’s profile to make sure you control the amount of already used and available ones. The process can be automated through integration with the zone set up & access control rules, or it can be manual where reception staff would give a PT session out on POS.
Furthermore, a Service can be assigned to a particular club employee (i.e. a Personal Training to an instructor or trainer, and a swimming lesson to a swimming instructor, etc.), so your members can participate in classes given by their favorite employee.
When you run a chain of clubs, you can decide in which club a particular Product or Service should be sold.
It is also possible to combine the Product with an access rule, time access, timetable events or club zone access. I.e. a club member with aqua zone access will only be offered products limited to this zone.

Bundles and Aggregated Bundles
You can connect Products and Services into Bundles, allowing your members to receive better price for their purchase. This feature will allow you to combine two or more Products or Products and Services into one. This one combined product will have one price displayed on the receipt. This way, you can keep better control over your club stocks. Your club members can also get Product Bundles at special price, which results from the quantity discount. You can easily control how many products are left on the Member Profile and monitor the Product Sales report.

An Aggregated Bundle is an optional flag that you can check on the Bundle configuration level. It will cause that every single Product within a given Bundle to be displayed on the receipt. It is a good option if you would like to mix products with different tax rates in one Bundle.

Start Packages
Many clubs offer Welcome Gifts to the new members who decided to join the club. The products already created in PGM can be connected to such a starter package. When creating a new member, a star package can be selected manually (out of the products which have been previously defined as the start package), or it can be assigned automatically to any new member, if configured so in the Product configuration. As a sign-up gift, your new members can receive fully branded complimentary merchandise such as towels or sports drinks.

Product Discounts
In order to attract new customers, to retain existing members, to stand apart from the competition, you can implement a Product Discount in your club. While creating a sale promotion, you can select the start and end dates.
There are several variations of discount logic to select from, such as percentage decrease, new (reduced) product price, fixed amount discount (effectively applied on the original price), or gratis.
Your promotion can be time period-limited, access rule-limited, or payment plan-limited. This way, you can offer i.e. a discount to the members with an Open access rule, or being on an annual contract. You can add just one Product the price of which you would like to reduce of, i.e. 10% off, or, if more of your Products have the same discount, i.e. 10% off, you can link them to the same promotion, instead of creating multiple promotions.
