Introduction
This article shows what needs to be done when you experience issues with the GEIDEA Verifone V240m transaction terminal.
- Terminal allows to perform two types of a transaction: purchase & refund.
- Terminal does NOT allow to monitor the transaction’s current status. In POSweb, only the In progress status will be visible.
This article will be helpful to IT Department in club or IT Technician.
In the production environment, the terminal must be configured properly by a technician.
Instruction

Check if a SIM card is installed properly
- Remove a back cover and check if a SIM card is installed in a correct slot.
2. Check if a correct APN is set

Run a terminal.

Press green button twice to open a menu.

Go to the ADMIN submenu. Enter password 1209.

Go to the HOST SETTINGS submenu.

Go to the GPRS OPERATOR submenu. Verify if APN is correct.

To change the APN, go to the USER submenu and enter a valid value.
3. Check if a terminal can communicate with a payment provider

Run a terminal.

Press green button twice to open a menu.

Go to the MERCHANT submenu. Enter password 1234.

Go to the BING MENU submenu.

Select the BING TEST menu item. Enter IP address 008.008.008.008.
4. Check if a terminal supports a serial port connection

Run a terminal.

Press on keyboard 1 + 5 + 9 to enter the maintenance mode.

Go to the SUPERVISOR submenu. Enter password 0000000.

Go to the ADMINISTRATION submenu.
-
Go to the COMMUNICATION submenu.
-
Go to the MINIUSB submenu.

Choose the Device option from a drop-down menu.
-
Exit the maintenance mode and reboot a terminal.

Connect a terminal into yours PC with a USB-C cable.
-
Check in devices manager if a new serial port has been added.
