Introduction
POSweb can trigger the opening of a cash drawer using the ESC/POS Command Set. This is a general library that is supported by most receipt printers (check with your printer manufacturer if yours is supported).
This article covers the settings to configure the cash drawer opening for POSweb based on updates made in the R.90 PGM system version.

Before you start
The printer needs to be set up as a windows printer in POSweb.
When enabling this feature 3 options can be set for the Cash Drawer to open after:
- Card Payment
- Cash Payment
- Other Payment
To enable this setting for your site, please reach out to the Perfect Gym Support Team via the get support module to discuss your specific requirements, and to coordinate and schedule this feature to be turned on. In the case, please specify which of the 3 cash drawer options you want activated, and when you will disable your current receipt printer settings on every POS workstation, so the technical support team can activate the 3 cash drawer options at the same time.
Instruction
The standard method of opening the cash drawer is after each document has been printed. From version R.90, this is not required and needs to be disabled.
To access the printer, go to Start menu >Settings > Devices and Printers (this might be different depending on windows version) and select the printer.
1. Select Preferences
2. Click on Peripherals, and in the dropdown, change this setting to Nothing
3. Select Apply
5. Click on Advanced
6. Click on Printing Defaults
7. Click on Peripherals, and in the dropdown, change this setting to Nothing
8. Select Apply
9. Select Save
