Introduction
Keeping in close contact with club members is possible not only with use of the Notifications in the Automation, but also with e-mail and SMS messages.
- This article shows how you can send e-mail or SMS messages to members directly from their Member Profile.
- This article will be helpful to PG Champion, Sales and Marketing Manager and every Club employee managing communication with Club Members.
Before you start
Before sending messages, either via e-mail or SMS, make sure that the e-mail address you want the notifications to be sent from is configured. For e-mail configuration, go to this article.
For SMS messages, you need to have an SMS provider integrated. Contact the Perfect Gym Support Team to do it for you. After it's done, please remember to tick these permissions Users/UserDetails/SendNotifications.
Instruction
How to send messages to a Member?
1. Go to the PGM -> Clients -> Clients -> Club Members.
2. Select a member from the list and open their Profile.
3. Click on the Send Email/SMS, an orange button in the top-right corner of the page.
4. Fill in the form with the recipient's name, e-mail address or phone number.
5. Select the message channel and type in the subject.
When choosing e-mail as the channel, you will have the option to select your pre-configured e-mail template and add the sender's name.
Email From - Specify which email the message is coming from. This is set up in PGM->Automation ->From Email configuration. If you don't select an email, the default email will be set.
From Name - Add the sender’s name to the message.
6. For both options, fill the content window with your message.
7. Click on the orange button at the bottom-left corner of the Send Message window. You will be asked for confirmation by answering a question with Yes or No.
Ad-hoc massages are not sent based on a specific user agreement (in opposition to the newsletter or automation ). Basically, you can send any ad-hoc massages regardless of what agreements the member has. Treat it like a message sent from your mailbox.

How to find this message under the Member profile?
Go to the Communication tab. This view contains the history of communication with every club member.
