Introduction
This article will show you the step by step process of achieving a price rise within the facility booking.
Before you start
This guide is for any facility booking definitions where additional pricing is used. This price rise will also change existing bookings pricing.
If you wish to not change existing booking pricing where additional pricing is used, please create a new booking rule within this definition and use "Daily Availability" to filter when pricing should start.
If you wish to change the price of a product (casual booking) then update the price in PGM->Sale->Products.
Instruction
To update the price of a facility booking and update existing bookings prices, go to PGM->Classes->Facility bookings
Using the search filters, find the definition you wish to change and press edit.
Scroll down until you see booking rules, select the option to show schedule.
This will display the pricing schedule screen, with will allow you to see the history of the prices used.
Effective from - The date the price will be used from. If Base price is shown, this is the original price at time of set up. This date is for any bookings which are booked on or after that date.
Gross amount - This is the amount (gross amount includes tax) of the payment per interval.
For example. If the original booking price is $150 per 15mins.
For a 2 hour booking for a facility which was booked on 30/05/2021, to use the facility on 31/08/2021 this will be $1200.00
If a new schedule was entered in for $160 per interval with an effective from date of 28/08/2021, this will change the price of all bookings to the new price using this rule where they are using the facility on or after 28/08/2021.
The 2 hour facility booking will now cost $1280.00
From R93 version the additional setup will be available, which enables you to configure peak and off-peak hours without changing the prices of bookings per each event
To enable this feature, please configure additional setup and click on No peak hours set up for this period
and Add period. You can setup different prices for each product based on chosen hours and the correct charges will be applied in one transaction (without making multiple bookings), based on the time of the event.
Press Save to confirm the changes.
A new warning screen will be displayed showing how many members will be affected by this change, to proceed press "Proceed at your own risk"
In the example below, this will show all contract transactions for a recurring booking for a stadium. The price rise of $160 per interval is for all booking using the facility from 28/08/2021. In the transactions, you can see the differences in the pricing due to this new price schedule.
Hints
- If you make a mistake completing the new price schedule, you can delete the new 'schedule' by selecting the x next to the new price, and re-enter the correct amount.
