Introduction
Assessment module within PerfectGym is used for Skills and assessing children within the Course module and promoting them to a new class. This will allow the Trainer to be able to ‘book’ or ‘denote’ a group member to be assessed on a specific class / date.
Before you start
In this module, you must have access to the Trainer Portal in order to use Assessments. These Assessments can also be done through the Timetable and the club Member Profile, please look at the instructions for the Assessments in Timetable for more information.

Instruction
How to use Trainer Portal for Assessments?
1. To use the Assessment module in the Trainer Portal, go to PGM->Classes->Trainer Portal.
2. Using the search filters above the classes, select the Class you wish to make assessments in. Classes with already scheduled assessments have a visual indicator. Toggle Show Only Assessments to view only those classes that have upcoming assessments.
3. To book a student in to do an assessment, press ⋮ next to their name, then select Manage assessments.
Since R87 steps 4, 5, 6 can be skipped. A trainer can start assessments during ongoing class without a need to schedule it previously. Such action can be done using Start Assessment option available under either the tick box next to their name or next to the level name to select all students in that level.
4. To book multiple students in, use either the tick box next to their name to select the student or next to the level name to select all students in that level. Press Actions then Schedule assessment.
5. In choose a class drop down box, select which Class the assessment will take place in.
This cannot be backdated.
6. Add a Comment to the assessment booking and press Schedule assessment.
7. On the day of the assessment, the following icon will appear next to the student’s name. This denotes that this student will be doing an assessment.
8. To start an assessment, press ⋮ which is next to the student’s name then press Start assessment.
9. Using the drop-down boxes, select what the student’s competency level is per skill level. Press Complete Assessment.
10. If the student has reached all competency levels within each skill, they will automatically progress to the next level.
11. On this screen, you can cancel an Assessment by pressing Cancel assessment.
12. This will bring up a pop-up box for confirmation on cancelling the assessment.
13. To view assessment details from that class, press ⋮ which is next to the student’s name then press View assessment details.
14. On the assessment, this will display what skills they have achieved in that assessment. You can edit the comment and press update comment.
Ad-hoc parent notification (R87)
A trainer have a possibility to send ad-hoc notification with a comment to members or theirs parents.
How to send a message?
1. Select Send message option, use either the tick box next to their name to select the student or next to the level name to select all students in that level.
2. Select a message template and provide a subject and a content for the notification.
3. Proceeding further with Send button can end up with two cases:
- Message sent successfully
- At least one member or member's parent is missing an email, based on decision a notification will be either sent or not
