Introduction
In this article, you will learn about the Choose Club step in the Client Portal registration process. During this step, prospective members are prompted to select their home club. This selection is essential for determining which facility the new member will be primarily associated with and for ensuring a smooth continuation of the registration process.

Before you start
The registration flow for club selection is only visible if you have more then one club visible on Client Portal.
- To hide a club from client portal, go to PGM -> Clubs -> List of Clubs and ensure the following option is ticked.
- There are two flows which could be used within the club selection table, contract support if you wish to use a different option then what is used.
- Choose city then club (default value)
- Choose State
- Choose City
- Choose club (if multiple clubs are located in the same city)
- Choose State
- Choose Club
- Choose State
- Choose Club
- Choose city then club (default value)
Depending on the configuration, you may choose either the have the registration flow go through State/City or State/Club.
Instruction
This step prompts you to select your primary club. The system may display the available clubs as either a series of clickable tiles or as a dropdown list, depending on the system's configuration.

When you arrive at this step, the system will display a welcome message. This text changes depending on whether you selected a city in a previous step:
If a city was selected: The message "In {City Name} we have {Number of Clubs}." will be displayed.
If no city was selected (Tile View): The message will be "We have {Number of Clubs}.".
If no city was selected (Dropdown View): The message will be "Welcome. We have {Number of Clubs} for you to choose from.".
2. The page will ask you to make a selection:
Tile View: "In which you want to train?".
Dropdown View: "Please select your closest club:".
3. Select your desired home club from the options presented.
If using Tile View: Click the tile of the club you wish to join. The selected tile will become highlighted.
If using Dropdown View: Click the combo box labeled "Select club" and choose your club from the list.
4. Click the Next button to confirm your choice and move to the next step.
Use Case Examples

Example 1: Selecting a Club from Tiles
Goal: To choose a home club from the visual tile layout.
Steps/Settings: The user sees several club tiles. They click the "Downtown Gym" tile, which then becomes highlighted. They click the Next button.

Example 2: Selecting a Club from a Dropdown
Goal: To choose a home club from a list.
Steps/Settings: The user is presented with the "Select club" dropdown. They click it, scroll to "Uptown Fitness," and select it. They click the Next button.

Example 3: Proceeding Without a Selection
Goal: A user attempts to skip the step.
Steps/Settings: The user clicks the Next button without clicking a tile or selecting from the dropdown. An error message appears: "You must choose your club before proceed".

Example 4: Context after Selecting a City
Goal: To select a club after filtering by "Metropolis" in the previous step.
Steps/Settings: The page displays the message "In Metropolis we have 3 clubs.". The user then selects one of the three available clubs and clicks Next.

Example 5: Context with No City Selected
Goal: To select a club when all clubs in the organization are shown.
Steps/Settings: The page displays the message "Welcome. We have 25 clubs for you to choose from.". The user selects their club from the complete list and clicks Next.
Hints
Validation: You must make a selection to proceed. If you click Next without choosing a club, the system will display an error message: "You must choose your club before proceed".
Automatic Selection: If your previous selection (like a city) results in only one available club, the system may auto-select that club and skip this step entirely. The dropdown view is specifically designed to appear only when there are multiple clubs to choose from.
Family Member Registration: If you are registering a family member, the prompt in the dropdown view will be "Which one do you choose?".
Custom translations: To translate most words on this page, go to PGM -> Settings -> Custom Translations, and filter by the resource object

You may wish to use a unique URL for a club member to click to bypass the club selection screen. This is useful if you are sending marketing materials.To create the link, you will need to use one of the following URL's depending on which region you are in:

- The unique URL for your site, replace this area with your URL.

- This will take the club member to the client portal application

- This will take the club member to the registration screen and begin the registration flow.
