Instruction
What is trying to be achieved is the decision-making tree symbolized by the scheme below :
Squares represent Payment Plan Categories and the oval shapes are Payment Plans.
This is how the structure is reflected in the PGM:
In practical terms the New Member goes through the following path. On the screens below you will see a few simple steps.
Moving forward to Payment Plan Categories. Go to the PGM -> Sale -> Payment Plan Categories. To start with, click Add Payment Plan Category.
This will be Parent Category under which the Member will find subcategories. In this case these are 24/7 and 21/6. In order to achieve this set up add 2 more New Categories and use STEP 1 as your Parent Category for both.
Each of them will consist of another two sub-categories: Recurring and Prepaid. This time you will need four New Categories, two Recurring and two Prepaid as each of them has to be assigned to 21/6 and 24/7.
- The same is with Prepaid.
Now, each Prepaid (two of them) and Recurring consist of Silver, Gold and Platinum. In this case you need to create another 12 subcategories. The entire exercise is rather simple, but as you are multiplying each category by 2 or 4, you need to be careful with assignment of each subcategory to the particular Parent Category.
As this is the last subcategory level, it's time to Add Payment Plans. You need to add them to bottom subcategories. In order to do that simply click three dots on the right side and click Add Payment Plans.
At this stage everything should work and your Payment Plan Categories should create clear decision tree allowing your members to choose the best possible option.
Hints
Hint: If you chose the Client Portal when setting up the payment plan and set it to be visible for a specific club, don’t forget to link the plan to a category in the Payment Plan Categories tab. If you skip this, it won’t show up in the Client Portal during registration.
System Response: After most actions (Save, Add, Delete, Move), the main Payment plan categories grid will automatically refresh to show the updated state.
Delete Consequence: When you delete a payment plan category, all of its subcategories are also permanently deleted.
Remove vs. Delete: Removing a payment plan or product from a category (using the expanded detail view) does not delete the item from the system. It only disassociates it from that specific category.
Category Hierarchy: Subcategories are shown indented in the main grid and are marked with a small triangle icon.
Reordering Logic: The Move Down button for a category is disabled for top-level (root) categories and for the very last item in the list.
If using this module, if a payment plan or product is not being added to a category, then it will not be available on Client Portal.
