Introduction
Towel service allows your club to rent towels to members. This feature enhances your services and improves convenience for visitors. Towels can be linked to members' and guests' profiles, allowing you to track rentals and returns.

Before configuring the Towel Service, make sure you are familiar with the article How to create a product with Service product type?.
Instruction
How to configure the product with the Towel Service service type?
1. Go to the PGM -> Sale -> Products
2. Click Add product and select Services product type
The configuration of towe service product looks looks almost the same as a regular service, however, some important fields need to be set up.

- Service Type - select Towel Service
- Store State - make sure that the checkbox is ticked
In case of Service creation, this checkbox should be ticked by default.
Now the service is ready to be sold. If you want to make it available on POSweb, please go to this article to create the POS button.
How to use the Towel service?
The Towel Service can only be used through the PosWeb application. If you want to use the Towel Service, follow the steps below:
1. Search for a member.
2. Click on the Key icon at the top of the screen, then go to the Products tab.
If the Towel Service is available on the member's or guest's profile, you will see the product there.
3. To rent a towel, click on the Give out button. The usage of the service will be noted.
How to give back the product?
After renting out the towel, you can note the towel give back.
1. Search for a member.
2. Click on the Key icon at the top of the screen, then go to the Products tab.
If the Towel Service is available on the member's or guest's profile, you will see the product there.
3. Click on the Give out button, next to the Towel Service product.
How to mark the towel as lost?
If a client loses a towel, you can mark it as lost in the system. To do this, follow these steps:
1. In the PosWeb application, search for the member who lost the towel.
2. Click on the Key icon at the top of the screen, then go to the Products tab.
3. If the Towel Service is available on the member's or guest's profile, you will see the product there. To mark the towel as lost, click on the black arrow on the right side of the screen to expand the details.
4. Click the Lost button
How to check the history of towel service usage?
If you want to check the history of towel service usage, you can easily check it in the POSweb, follow the steps below:
1. In the PosWeb application, search for the member.
2. Click on the Key icon at the top of the screen, then go to the Products tab.
3. If the Towel Service is available on the member's or guest's profile, you will see the product there. To mark the towel as lost, click on the black arrow on the right side of the screen to expand the details.
4. Click the History button, the full usage history will be displayed.
5. In this view you can check:
- Towel take date
- Towel give back date
- Status
How to configure the Towel Service as a contract's extras
To assign a towel service for a given member as a contract extra, we have to configure it on the payment plan settings.
To do so go to the PGM -> Sale -> Payment Plans and add or edit the existing contract, then add Towel Service in the the contract extra(membership add-ons_ section:
Now if the Member has the contract with a payment plan allowing him to use the Towel Service, it will be visible on his profile in PGM.
It is also visible in the Products tab on the member's profile in POSweb.
Hints
- When a member uses the Towel Service that is part of their payment plan - contract extra, the system does not track the state of the service. Members can use the service without limits, but the usage is still recorded in the History tab in POSweb.
- If the member has the Towel Service eligible for contract extra and also bought the service as a product, the state of the bought service will not be reduced when using the service until the contract is ended.
- Note that the service can be sold in a bundle with other products. Create a new bundle-type product and add the service to the bundle with other items. Go to this article for the bundle-type product configuration.
- When the service is sold to the member or guest, you can see the product state on their profile in PGM under the Products and extras tab. You can also see it in the Transactions -> Pos tab.
