Introduction
This article describes the integration with Medicover Sport. It allows Medicover Sport users to enter the club even if their account does not exist in the PGM system. In technical terms, PGM sends a request to validate an entry to Medicover Sport API.
The integration with Medicover Sport allows entering the club in two ways:
- by generating a QR code in the Medicover Sport app and scanning it at the QR code reader.
- by matching the member’s phone number. In this case, the member should have the required payment plan.
This integration must be enabled and configured in advance for a given system instance.
- This article will be helpful to PG Champion, Club Manager and Club Owner in clubs using Medicover Sport.
Feature description
QR Code-Based Entrance
QR Code can be recognized by a POSweb reader or a stand-alone Access Control reader. It works by checking if the Medicover Sport user's phone number exists in the PGM system.
- If the PGM system recognizes the member's phone number, the club visit is registered under the respective PGM account (Member Profile).
- If the PGM system does not recognize the member's phone number, the club visit is registered under an Anonymous user. This user is automatically created as a Guest type, based on the data returned from the Medicover Sport system. They include a phone number, first name, last name and equal Medicover Sport + phone number without the last 3 digits.
Some readers might be marked as External readers. As a result, the QR code scan on it won't result in a visit registration in the PGM system, only a gate will be open. Other member's visits are not reported to MS System.
In the case of visits registered through POSweb, a pop-up will appear informing that the Medicover Sport member entrance was allowed. The receptionist is allowed to cancel the visit after a short period after the entrance. As a result, the visit is deleted from the PGM system.
Phone number-based entrance
This feature is available from the R90 system version.
In this case, the user is matched by their phone number and a specific Payment Plan. The member should receive a club card in advance. When they scan the club card, either on a stand-alone or POSweb Access Control reader, their phone number is sent to the Medicover Sport system to validate the entry.
To have it work, the Payment Plan name for Medicover Sport integration must be configured and the member entering the club must have an active Contract with the given Payment Plan and a phone number matching the number registered in the Medicover Sport system.
- You can configure multiple Payment Plans to be used with Medicover Sport integration.
- To do so, use the following setting: AccessControl.Medicover.PaymentPlanNamesForPhoneNumberBasedClubEntry.
If a member already has a contract allowing them to access the club, PGM will not call the Medicover Sport system to validate the entry.
In the case of visits registered through POSweb, a pop-up will appear informing that the Medicover Sport member entrance was allowed. The receptionist is allowed to cancel the visit after a short period after the entrance. As a result, the visit is deleted from the PGM system.
How to cancel a visit on POSweb with Medicover Sport?
This feature is available form the system version:
- R90 for visit register on stand-alone access control reader,
- R91 for visit register on POS reader.
You can cancel the visit on POSweb for a given member.
1. Open POSweb.
2. Go to Now in club list.
3. Select the member.
The default value for the time allowed to cancel the entry is 15 minutes. It can be changed by the PG Technical Support team
4. Click Cancel entry.
Due to small time differences between PG servers and Medicover Sport servers, it may happen that cancel entry fails despite being available in POS. In such a situation, an information message will appear when a Cancel entry is used.
